Somewhat contrary to nervous suspicion that there is more going on inside than meets the eye, there is, but most of it isn't very interesting. I'm an introvert trapped in an extrovert's lifestyle. My favorite thing to do is hang out with friends and talk and tell stories, but there are times when I just want to disappear from the crowd and retreat to a book or to whatever piece of writing I am working on that particular week. I'm currently at (slow) work on a novel. I have two parents, one older sister (deceased), two dogs. I live in a nice apartment with my beautiful wife, Leigh, just west of the beltway in Houston near Briar Forest. I think girls are pretty, like flowers and sunsets, but none so beautiful as that roommate of mine. I tell way too many jokes. I'm longwinded both orally and through my pen.
